Erin Mills Youth

(Formerly Whigmaleeries)

Scottish Country Dancing for 11 – 19 year olds.

Scottish Country Dancing is fun, social, and good exercise.  It's not as costly as some other forms of dance but is equally as interesting and good for your health. The Youth Class meets weekly along with part of an Adult Class to learn both basic and energetic dances.  The youth are also encourage to participate in demonstrations for senior homes and functions in the GTA.  In addition to Scottish Country Dancing the youth are also introduced to other forms of Scottish Dance.  Outfits are provided for demonstrations.

The class is held at Cooksville United Church on Mimosa Row near Hurontario and Dundas, Mississauga <map>.  Classes run from September to May from 7.30 to 8.30pm but early in the season we encourage new dancers to arrive at 7.00pm for additional instruction.

For more information about how you can come and enjoy the fun, call Mrs Deirdre MacCuish Bark at 905-822-1707.

Various outfits are provided for demonstrations.
Along with a number of adult dancers, we also perform at the Georgetown Highland Games, these are held in early June each year.
