Woodglen Social Group

Woodglen meets Fridays 8:00 - 10:00 pm at Fallingbrook Presbyterian Church, on Kingston Rd a few blocks east of Victoria Park at Wood Glen Rd. Park behind the church or on the street. Enter by back door. Woodglen has a tradition of welcoming beginners, though the emphasis is on social dancing, not teaching. Each session typically has 5-10 minutes of step practice.

Our regular teacher is Deirdre MacCuish-Bark but we have several nights of guest teachers as well.

The last Friday of each month is usually a "pub night" -- which means that after dancing we all retire to someone's home for a drink, some tasty nibbles, and we have time to talk (makes a pleasant change from the few minutes of snatched conversation between dances). Typically, dancers bring cheese or home-baked goodies, or finger-food. When we each bring a little we end up with a lot. Certainly, we DO have a lot of fun!

The Season begins Sept 10, 2010 -- 7:30-10:00pm.
