48th Annual Tartan Ball

Will be held by the RSCDS Toronto Scottish Country Dance Association
Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel

The Tartan Ball is the premier event of the dancing season.

Come and be part of a grand occasion.

Again this year we will have the pleasure of dancing to the wonderful music of Bobby Brown & The Scottish Accent (pictured below).

We have a programme of dances which includes something for everyone. The dances are briefed, but only minimally. Figures will not be explained in detail, and of course there will be no walking of dances. Many of the dances are already familiar and others will become familiar if you attend a social class regularly. Also, each Monthly Dance programme includes some Tartan Ball dances.

Practice evenings will be conducted in February to help dancers become comfortable with the dances beforehand and we hope that all dancers will come as prepared as they always do, so that the pre-dance mini briefing will serve as a quick reminder and also will allow people to relax and enjoy the social aspect of the evening.

We encourage all dancers to come and feel welcome and to have a wonderful time in the incomparable surroundings of the Royal York.

Convenor: Louis Racic 416-253-6018.
Tickets: Jane Robinson (416) 463-5016.

See you at the Ball!
