Sat. Feb 20 -
We invite you to attend The Tartan Ball, the premier event of the Toronto dancing season.  This will be the 47th Annual Tartan Ball held at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel.  This formal, grand evening is not to be missed.

This year the Tartan Ball will be extra special. Our Guests of Honour will be Colin Mochrie and his wife Debra McGrath. Colin and Debra are well known TV celebrities, who hardly need an introduction. We are absolutely delighted that they will join us. We will also be honouring one of our own teachers, Isabelle Macpherson, who has been awarded the Scroll of Honour by Edinburgh.

You are invited to join the Pre-Ball Reception in the Concert Hall Foyer, starting at 6.00 p.m. There will be complimentary hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar. Out-of-town dancers are provided with a small tartan ribbon so they may recognized and welcomed. Once we are all seated  for dinner in the Concert Hall, the head table guests are piped in. An elegant prime rib dinner is followed by a few words from our Chairman, Award of Scroll recipient, and our Guests of Honour. After dinner, dancers don their ghillies while the ballroom is cleared. Dancers are piped back into the ballroom in a spectacular Grand March; the first dance is announced; sets are counted;  Bobby Brown & The Scottish Accent strike a chord; and the evening's dance programme begins. The fun goes on into the "wee sma' hours". Come and join the fun. For more information,  download the Application Form or contact Louis Racic. Download Tartan Ball Dance Instructions.
